Matt Hartley
Director
Matt Hartley is the founding Director of Empire Glass and Aluminium. Matt has been in the building industry for over 14 years and is a qualified builder with extensive experience in the commercial sector. Matt understands the importance of long term relationships with clients and oversees all projects managed by Empire Glass and Aluminium. Matt believes in attention to detail, workmanship excellence and a solution focused attitude. |

Nathan Higley
Project Foreman
Nathan has over 10 years experience in the construction industry with both commercial and residential experience. Nathan is responsible for project management, construction and installation. Nathan has completed a number of projects for Empire Glass and Aluminium including:
- Pier 26 Darling Harbour, Sydney – a complete refurbishment involving louvre windows, frameless glass balustrade and bi-fold doors,
- Selbourne and Wentworth Chambers, Philip St Sydney – a barrister’s library refurbishment including automatic sliding doors, aluminium pivot doors and glazing for a temperature controlled room
- Owen St, Bondi – a residential refurbishment including louvre windows, bi-fold doors, large fixed glass panels and showerscreens
- St Lucy’s School - construction and installation of new windows and doors including breezeway automated glass louvre windows

Simon Basile
Project Foreman
Simon has over 12 years experience in the construction industry over which time he has developed a depth of expertise in the commercial sector. Simon is responsible for management, construction and installation of major commercial projects. Simon has completed a number of projects for Empire Glass and Aluminium including:
- Westpoint Blacktown – an architectural glazing project involving a frameless free standing lift enclosure,
- Royal Sovereign Hotel and Endeavour Waterworks Hotel – refurbishment involving frameless glass stacking doors, glass roofs and pivot doors
- Ravesis, Bondi – refurbishment involving a frameless glass shopfront and internal fitout
- St Andrews House , Sydney – construction and installation of a new formal entrances over four stages including structural and stainless steel support for a glass front façade
- Mandarin Club – frameless glass fan pergola roof, lift enclosure, frameless balustrades and internal fitout

Andrew Bowman
Project Foreman
Andrew has a background in commercial shop-fitting and joinery and has over 15 years experience in the industry. Andrew is responsible for management, construction and installation of commercial and premium residential projects. Andrew has completed a number of projects for Empire Glass and Aluminium including:
- City Quarter Development, Camperdown – A multi million dollar residential development involving pool and gym glass enclosure and frameless pivot doors
- Luna Park Brassiere, Sydney – a restaurant refurbishment involving frameless pivot doors and glass walls
- Australia Post – refurbishment involving frameless glass shopfront and auto entry doors
- Notre Dame university, – a multi million dollar construction project involving aluminium and glass work for lecture theatres
- Cannon – a frameless glass fit out including pivot doors and frameless glass stacking doors

Josh Higley
Project Foreman
Josh has over 7 years experience in the construction industry and is responsible for management, construction and installation of commercial and premium residential projects. Josh has completed a number of projects for Empire Glass and Aluminium including:
- Elouera Surf Club Cronulla – installation of windows for new gym and surf boatshed
- Golden Sheaf Hotel, Double Bay – glazing fitout including balustrade, mirrors and glass pivot doors
- Coogee Bay Hotel, Coogee – redesign of the gaming area involving the fabrication and installation of glass walls, internal division wall and frameless glass automatic doors
